HBO had an impressive showing of 6 wins at Sunday’s 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, bringing the total number of Emmy wins this year to 23 – more than any other network for the 11th consecutive year!

Game of Thrones led HBO’s winners with six awards including Outstanding Special Visual Effects and Boardwalk Empire received a total of four awards, including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Tim Van Patten, BOARDWALK EMPIRE).

New series VEEP received a win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and GIRLS was recognised for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.

HBO also took home five awards for GAME CHANGE and in addition, HBO Documentary Films took home two awards for George Harrison: Living in the Material World.
