The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards for programmes and individual achievements took place in Los Angeles on Sunday.
HBO received four Emmy Awards, bringing the total number of wins to 19, more than any other network. This makes HBO the studio to receive the most wins for the tenth consecutive year!
We are pleased to announce that Kate Winslet received the award for Outstanding Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her performance in Mildred Pierce. Guy Pearce won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, for his role as Monty, also for Mildred Pierce.
Peter Dinklage picked up the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s new drama, Game of Thrones.
Boardwalk Empire, the new prohibition-era drama, also came away with an award, with Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series going to Martin Scorsese.
